recipe: nachos

You're probably thinking, why is she posting a recipe for nachos?!, which is exactly why I was hesitant to do so. Seems so easy right? But you would not believe how many people ask how to make them. And to be honest, there's so many different ways to do it and we just recently perfected ours. It's like a sandwich.. everyone has their own way of making sandwiches. We all know you just slap whatever you want on some bread and you're done. But everyone's "perfect sandwich" is different.

I feel like I just sounded like I know what I'm doing in the kitchen. I DON'T. This is just a quick and easy meal for those nights that Jared is too tired to cook and actually trusts me to make something and not screw it up.

So here's how we make ours ---

INGREDIENTS:

+ tortilla chips (we use Tostitos restaurant style chips)

+ beans (we use canned Goya pinto beans)

+ chicken (or beef, shrimp, whatever. I like to use leftovers from this chicken taco recipe)

+ jalepenos

+ shredded cheese (we use Kraft's Mexican blend)

DIRECTIONS:

Heat oven to 350.

Place tortilla chips on cookie sheet.

Top chips with beans, meat, and jalepenos. 

Cover with shredded cheese.

Bake in oven for 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.

Told ya -- so easy, even I can do it.
