Jared turned 27 on January 29th! He's not a big fan of birthday celebrations, but I am! I always plan something for him but try to keep it low-key. This year, I surprised him and took him to the Oceanarium, a restaurant in Waikiki. It's an all-you-can-eat buffet that seats it's guests beside a huge three-story aquarium. There's even a mermaid that makes a special appearance. She was my favorite part! 
I'm not a fan of buffets.. they have always grossed me out. Jared loves them though and this one was no different. Tons of crab legs and pastas and shrimp and salads and ribs and... a lot more. I of course took advantage of the dessert table.


We finished dinner just in time to catch the sunset!

    What an awesome looking experience! I don't know why I haven't heard of the Oceanarium, but I'll have to go! I am not in Hawaii while my guy is gone on deployment, but I'll be back on Oahu in just a few months. We always visit aquariums wherever we go, so this restaurant is a must for us.

I have to admit, I had the hardest time matching this necklace with an outfit. Bright colors make me nervous which is probably why my closet is full of neutrals.
