i have this problem..

So I have this problem.
It's called thinking.
I do it a lot.
Most of the time way too much.
It's called thinking.
I do it a lot.
Most of the time way too much.
Is there a cure for this?
I know what you're thinking. The cure is alcohol. And yes, you're right. That does cure it! But alcohol is one of those medications that you can't take all of the time. Well I guess you could, but... well here I go- thinking too much again.
But seriously, too much thinking leads to worrying. And too much worrying leads to me being physically sick.
And for what? Why?
It doesn't help anything.
I'm slowly (very slowly) learning to have faith and trust that things will happen the way they're supposed to.
Because I am a finally at a point in my life where I know what makes me happy. And I know who makes me happy. And it should be as simple as that.

What do you do to take your mind off of things and relieve stress?
I over think things ALL THE TIME! I pinned that bottom quote and painted it on a canvas to hang in my room.
ReplyDeleteI just try to focus on the positive in my life and that usually helps my over-thinking.
I am a one of those thinkers too. I over think things-way.too.much. And it seems that by over thinking things I either A. set my expectations too high or B. talk myself out of stuff.
ReplyDeleteI try hard to let things go and not worry about them. I've spent way too many sleepless nights thinking about the what-ifs and whys.
And to be honest, I don't have a way to get my mind off things...if you find one that works for you, please share it with me! :D
I hope you have a good day!
I have the same problem. Too much thinking, which leads to way too much worrying. Not worrying and having faith is the best cute I've found so far :) And cute quotes as well.
ReplyDeleteI'm following you from the follow fest! I'd love for you to stop by my blog and become my blog friend too!

I have the same exact problem, every time I feel like I'm starting to think way more than I should, I start to concentrate on my breathing.. focusing on the counts of my breath in and out usually this method usually works for me, it works even better if I have some healing music playing on pandora in the background. I completely agree, thinking too much causes unnecessary stress.. so surrounding yourself with people who make you happy is the way to go =)
ReplyDeleteI overanalyze everything and I over think everything. I'm learning (slowly also) that I can only worry about what I can control and how I can control it. The problem is that with most things in life you can't control it. Just try to be grateful for the things you have and that you are loved!
ReplyDeletedon't worry, it's okay to think! when i begin to feel that i'm thinking too much i pray for God to take over and give me peace. helps for sure. xx
ReplyDeleteOverthinkers Anonymous! Prone to overthinking and analysis paralysis. I find it helps to just take deep breath and tell myself that everything will be okay. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm totally like that too!! I get nauseous and so worries about small things, but everything always has a way of falling into place:) I hope everything works out for you!

Wow, girl I am the exact same way!! I think it has its blessings and its curses.
ReplyDeleteI have the same problem!
ReplyDeleteI am exactly the same way Jessica! I overthink everything and I worry far too much. To keep myself sane, I blog and try to hang out with people who worry less than I do. Also I like to find quotes or mantras to remind myself throughout the week to take it easy!
ReplyDelete:)
