Waialua Old Sugar Mill Coffee
Hawaii people! And tourists! Have you been to the Old Sugar Mill in Waialua?? I had never heard of it until last week! We just kind of found it and decided to check it out. And as a coffee addict lover, I was overjoyed! The sugar mill was originally built in 1865 and was taken over by Island X Hawaii in 1991.
It's such a cute little tourist attraction that you can get through in 5 minutes or you can spend over an hour in there like we did. There's free coffee samples, which we took advantage of obviously, and tons of cool souvenirs. The people who work there are so nice and extremely knowledgeable about the history of the Old Sugar Mill and the productions that used to go on there. One of the employees came up to me and said "Excuse me, are you a model?". I'm pretty sure I turned bright red. I said no and thanked her for confusing me with one. She was older so she may have had a problem with her vision ;)

Also, this is totally unrelated, but if you follow me via any social media outlet you've heard me bitch about this before --- Why is it called "shave ice" instead of "shaved ice"?!?! Someone told me that it's just a cultural slang thing and not an actual grammar mistake. But still. It drives me crazy!
"Shave Ice" drives me crazy, too!! hah I'd be tempted to graffiti the "d" in there :)
