2012 holiday cards
I really love snail mail. A lot. In a world of emails, texts, social media, and phone calls, getting good ol' fashioned mail often adds a nice touch to whatever message you're trying to get across. So, naturally, my favorite part about the holiday season is receiving holiday cards in the mail. It may seem a little dorky but it totally makes my day!
I really wanted Jared, Duke, and I to have a Christmas photo session but we never got around to it. Jared probably wouldn't even notice if we didn't send out cards at all but I, of course, was super bummed. I ended up going through our pictures so that we could send out a semi-decent card. I'm not totally pleased with what I came up with but here it is...
Front photo taken by the fabulous Marina Miller of Red Heart Photo at Waimea Bay. (Marina is also the genius behind our underwater photo shoot.)
Back photo taken by Michael Romero (I think) at the top of the Makapuu Lighthouse Trail.
Printing and design done by Tiny Prints -- who I love!
These are photos that I took of the cards. The actual quality is much better in person!
I over-ordered of course. I always do. I'm always afraid I'll forget to send it to someone. If you want one, let me know! ;)
I also participated in a Blogger Christmas Card Exchange! I received this sweet card in the mail from someone named Jessica Lynn. She didn't include her blog address so I'm not sure who it is!
And this is the exact reason behind my blog name-- there are just so many Jessica's out there!
If you're the sweet Jessica who sent this card, THANK YOU!! And let me know where you blog so I can check you out!
Speaking of snail mail and people named Jessica Lynn.. my sister in-law sent this gorgeous ornament to us! I'm in love with it and it's the perfect addition to our tree! Her name is also Jessica Lynn! I told you there are so many of us..
What did your Christmas card look like this year?
Love both of them :D
ReplyDeleteAlso, how did I not know your husband's name was Jared? My brother is Jared and my husband is Jarrod. It's a good name :) To add to the name thing, I have a sister named Jessica!
Love them!
