I came across this photo of a quote by John Lennon on Instagram today. I got one of those "this is meant to be" feelings, as it perfectly described my day.

I've recently decided to take a leap of faith in my career. As I grow older I'm beginning to make more and more decisions based on what makes me (and my family) happy and not based upon what others think. I'm by no means an expert on this but let me tell you- it feels amazing. People (who matter) will eventually accept things when they see that it makes you happy. And when I grow up, that's what I want to be. Happy.

Life is too short to settle.

I have to admit, I had the hardest time matching this necklace with an outfit. Bright colors make me nervous which is probably why my closet is full of neutrals. As much as I love statement necklaces and bright colors on other people, it makes me nervous when they're on me!
