good christian what?!
Ok y'all.. before I start off, I want to say that I am by no means a perfect Christian and I have a looooong ways to go on my walk with faith. I just had to voice my opinion about this because I haven't heard nearly enough (if any) outrage about it.
For those of you who don't know - ABC is airing a new show on Sundays called GCB. GCB is based off of a book titled Good Christian Bitches by Kim Gatlin.
I have never watched an episode of GCB, nor do I want to. I can't judge the series by it's content since I haven't actually watched but isn't that an issue in itself? So many people are so turned off by the title that they aren't giving the show a chance.
I'm so surprised at ABC's choice to run this show. With that title. Well actually I'm not surprised at all I guess. Disappointed would be a better word. I guess with Desperate Housewives (which I'm not a fan of either) ending, ABC was looking for a replacement.
With Jersey Shore, Real Housewives and othertrash TV shows airing on cable, it'd be nice if network television stayed at least a little classy. What kind of message are we sending to society? To kids?
Now don't get me wrong--- I WATCH TV. I'm also a 20-something year old adult. When I was younger, there were things like Full House, Family Matters, and Step By Step airing during primetime TV.
I'm not saying that it's a bad show (I haven't watched). I'm not saying that other people shouldn't watch it (it's a free country). I am saying that I'm really disappointed in what's acceptable in today's society.

As a fellow flawed Christian, I completely agree with you. The choice to run this show was in poor taste on ABC's behalf. I won't watch it because even though I'm far from perfect, mocking God is something that is done too much in the world today, especially on tv and in the media.
