According to Lucky Magazine's article, "10 Trends We Can't Wait to Wear in 2013" , these will be 2013's hottest trends. Here's what I think.. 1. Bold Stripes. The black and white version is a little too jailbird-ish to me, but vertical stripes can be slimming-- and I'm all for that. 2. Romantic Ruffles. Lucky referred to this trend as "feline, flirty, and frilly". I personally refer to ruffles as annoying. 3. The New Le Smoking. Clearly I'm not a fashion expert because I had no idea what the hell "le smoking" referred to. For those of you who don't know, here you go . Anyway, hasn't this been trendy for a while now? I love blazers!  4. Fancy Flats. Oh I am SO excited about this one! I think I've been rocking this one since 2008-ish even if it wasn't stylish. Stilettos may be sexier but flats definitely win when it comes to comfort. 5. The Drop-Waist Dress. I'm a bit p...

Wedge sneakers have taken over runways and streets around the world and I want to know what the big hype is. When have tennis shoes ever been considered a fashion statement unless you are in the 90's and/or a hip hop artist? Someone put a wedge in these sneakers and suddenly it's a trend? I think there must have been an outbreak in models with sore feet because I hear these babies are super comfy- and I'm all about comfort. Now don't get me wrong, the trend is weird enough that some people can rock it. And by some people, I do not mean myself. [via] [via] [via] What do you think of this new trend? Hot or not? Either way, I wouldn't invest too much in these. It's a trend that I don't see lasting long (I hope!).

One of this season's newest and hottest trends is coated denim. I have yet to buy a pair but I'm on the hunt! I love the leather-esque look that adds some edge to plain ol' denim. What do you think of this trend? Do you own a pair of coated denim? SHOP THIS LOOK!:

No, it's not Christmas. It's FOOTBALL SEASON! Time for early mornings, beer, lots of yelling, some tears, lots of arguments, jumping, jerseys, and junk food. I'm pretty excited. Although this past Sunday didn't go as I had planned (damn you, Manning), it still felt good to put my black and yellow jersey on and watch the boys on the field.  Football in Hawaii is quite a different experience. Since our time zone is so behind, we have to wake up extra early to watch games. I'm talking 7 AM games on a Sunday. It's rough but so worth it. Some of the bars here serve breakfast, coffee, mimosas, bloody mary's, etc. And since Hawaii doesn't have a NFL team, there's always an array of jerseys and fans. It's different, but cool. HAPPY FOOTBALL SEASON!

Jared and I had the honor of being invited to the Kim Crawford Winemaker Dinner Part event at Tiki's Grill & Bar . 5 courses of unbelievable food + 5 courses of unlimited New Zealand wine + a perfect beach location??
