One of my darling friends sent me an assortment of goodies from Scented Studio and I have to rave about them! I don't post about beauty products often but I love these so much. I'm a big fan of anything that smells yummy so my nose (and skin and home!) has been in heaven as I've tried these products the past few weeks. My two favorites so far are the body lotion in coconut and the sugar scrub . The coconut smell stays with me all day and no joke - my skin feels like silk after using the sugar scrub. And my favorite part about it is that I can actually read and understand all of the ingredients - sugar, avocado, sunflower, etc. Plus, it's so much more affordable than the stuff you'll find at Sephora. I was born exactly 26 years ago. Which means that today marks my entrance into "late twenties". Sounds gross. I cried a year ago when I reached a quarter of a century. But I don't think I'll cry today. I think I've accepted the fact that I have to be a grown up (yes, I still struggle with admitting that.). This doesn't mean that I like it though. At least not all of the time. I've been trying to embrace getting older and one of the ways that I do that is by remembering the things that I've learned.. as small or big as they may be, I'm grateful to have learned them now instead of waiting until another quarter of a century passes by. So here are 20 things that I learned in my early 20's - in no particular order --- 1. Home is not a place - it's a feeling. I love NYC. LOVE it! Let's face it - we all want a pretty smile. Think about all of the crazy things and crazy amounts of money that people do and spend on perfecting their smile! Smiles are something that I notice on a person right away and it drives me nuts when people smile in pictures without showing their teeth. I know, I know, everyone has their reasons, but it's my personal opinion that people look so much happier when their teeth are showing! That being said, I am a little obsessive about having white teeth. My teeth are by no means perfect but they are definitely something that I put a lot of care into. So when professional teeth whitening became a big thing (when was that? 2000's ish?) I knew it was something that I wanted to try right away.  But then something happened - a girl at my high school got her teeth whitened professionally and she came back to school with an obnoxiously bright smile. You already know, I'm not much of a beauty queen . So I'm not even going to pretend to be an expert on skincare.
