Tagg, Duke's It.

Image
This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group ™ and Tagg™ Pet Tracker , but all opinions are my own. #pmedia #pettracker   http://cmp.ly/3/8vNxcO . Those who know me know that I'm borderline obsessed with Duke. So it's probably no surprise that I jumped on the opportunity to try out a Tagg Pet Tracker , which is basically an advanced GPS tracking system for pets .  I know what you're thinking -- isn't that the same thing as a microchip? No. Duke is already microchipped (duh) which I still recommend, but a Tagg Pet Tracker is so much cooler. It's lightweight and attaches easily to your pet's collar. It tracks your pet via GPS. You can set up a zone and anytime your pet leaves that zone, you'll be notified.  Duke is not an active guy. He enjoys a nice stroll, a few rounds of catch, and tug-o-war. But he definitely prefers cuddling, sucking on his blankey, and eating grass. The vet says he is ov...

Love Is Blind

Image
Some people say that love is blind . In this case, I'm not sure how true that statement is.  My friends over at Fisheye Studio shot a wedding in Hawaii recently. The groom had lost 100% of his vision in one eye and 85% in the other. He said he had lost his sight but not his vision and that he was so lucky to be marrying his best friend. Here is their story --- love is blind | SDE | brian + jeanelle from Fisheye Studio on Vimeo . Did you cry your eyes out too? There are so many amazing things about this story starting with the obvious signs of love that are so apparent between the bride and groom. How strong must their love be?  I love that when he first "saw" her in her wedding dress he said "you look beautiful" even though he couldn't actually see her. Their love is beautiful. Special thanks to Joshua at Fisheye Studio for sharing this story.

Back To Football

I'm like a kid on Christmas morning.. or the night before the first day of school.. I don't know, but it's opening weekend of the NFL season and I feel giddy like a little kid.  When people ask me who my favorite team is, I always get a bit of grief. This is the best way that I can think of to explain it ---  The Steelers are my BFF. I have a personal connection to the Steelers. I'm invested in them. I'm one of those annoying fans who proudly wears black and yellow in a room full of other jerseys and who will shed a tear and/or hide under a rock after a bad game. The Texans are family. Houston is my hometown, y'all. How could I not rep the Texans? That's like illegal or something. The Cowboys are a distant cousin. Do I love the Cowboys? No. Do I hate the Cowboys? No. But I do love watching them. Through good, bad and ugly, you can't deny that everyone pays attention to the Cowboys and their scoreboard. I grew up watc...
